From Corroded to Correct: Replacing a Lead Boot on a Metal Roof
A metal roof had been installed using lead pipe boots intended for shingle roofs, possibly left in place from a prior shingle installation. The use of dissimilar metals resulted in a galvanic reaction, which caused the observed corrosion. We removed the affected metal panel and lead pipe boot and replaced them with a new metal panel and a properly compatible metal roof pipe boot.

Years of Hidden Water Damage—Solved
This roof has seen much water (over the years) dumping under the tiles at the bottom of the valley. This is a common installation method that doesn’t last as long as the rest of the roof. To keep this water on the top of the tiles a lead splash is added under the valley and over the top of the tiles. All rotted wood has been repaired and new flashing and underlayment installed. Tiles are saved as much as possible to keep the look the same

Repairing Wind Damage to Wood Shingles
High winds had torn several wood shingles from the roof, leaving the roof to be more vulnerable to leaks and water damage. We replaced the missing shingles and ensured the surrounding area was securely fastened for future storms.
